We all know that in India, SSC conducts many examinations for the recruitment of various posts. SSC JE is (junior engineer) recruitment one of them. We all know that every book has some good and some bad aspects. There is no exception here. I will discuss the good aspects of this book first, then bad aspects.
Good Aspects:-
There are many good aspects of this book. I chose 5 major aspects.
Compact Package –
Actually, when we starting preparation for any competitive exam, we need the syllabus, previous year questions papers, suggestion, strategy. Then we start looking for them, in the end, we get those. Doing these things is a waste of time. But think, if all these important needs, you got a book, how would it be? Yes, in the book you will get all the needs like syllabus, previous year questions papers, strategy.
Book Strategic Manner –
Every book has its own strategic manner, and I read various types of books (competitive book), I saw many book strategic manners. But I liked this book for its strategic manner. Now I try to explain, why this strategic manner I liked most?
In this book every subject has been separated, starting structural portion, then Concrete Technology and then other civil engineering subjects like survey, irrigation, hydraulic, etc. Then every subject each chapter has been separated, it’s a new manner which you will not see any book. This manner gives us many benefits to read. In case you can easily understand which question or which types of questions are important, then you can easily tackle those questions.
Two In One –
All experts or all aspirants who cracked these exams, if you going to take some advice, they all recommend you go through or analyze the last 10 years' question papers. But this book you got free last 14 years SSC JE question papers.
Quality of Answers –
I have been analyzing for the last 3 months of this book. Then I review the book, and I challenge, you can’t find a better answer than that in any book. Every answer is very simplified for all category students, simple English, just perfect.
Quality of Page –
I am a book worn. Seriously, I have many books, magazines, and newspapers in my room. So I noticed that many books have very low-quality binding, very low-quality pages. Moreover, after a few months, pages turn a yellow color. Sometimes the words are blurry, then it feels boring.
But don’t worry, in this book is very good oily quality of pages, which also make this book more interesting and more catchy.

Wrong Answer –
Generally when I was studying building material portion, then I found some silly mistake answer there, and the same thing in hydraulic. But you can negligible it, because of very few mistakes, just 3-4 questions.
Structural Portion –
We know the structural portion is very important and also very hard in civil engineering, many students skip this structural portion. But I think the structure is the brain of civil engineering, if you skip this portion then you will be far behind the rest. But this book has short in the structural portion. Although that is a lot, I think it would have been better if there was little else.
I could not find any issue other than these two problems.
Conclusion:-
Now coming to the final verdict. So I want to say if you have 60% knowledge in all civil engineering subjects and you increase your knowledge up to 90%, then you buy this book. But if you have no knowledge of civil engineering, then so friends this book is not for you. All SSC JE aspirants know that just we have just three months before the exam. Now you have only one goal, read more in less time, and then this book is very essential.
So I think this book is no replacement for the last 3 months preparation of the SSC JE exam.
