ANALYSIS THE RATE OF FOLLOWING ITEMS OF WORKS

BRICK WORK IN CEMENT MORTER ( 1 : 6)  :----YOU MAY ASSUME CEMENT – Rs 8100/MT , BRICK Rs 8500/%0NUMBERS ,SAND(coarse)-Rs 1150/M³ , SAND ((med) Rs 950/M³ ,HEAD MASON -326/DAY,ORDINARY MASIN -296/DAY , MAZDOOR-245/DAY.

Consider 10 cum volume of brickwork.

Size of one brick with mortar = ( 200 * 100 * 100 ) mm³

No of bricks = 10/(0.2*0.1*0.1) = 5000 nos.

Size of one brick without mortar =(190*90*90 ) mm³

Volume of mortar =10 – (5000*0.19*0.09*.009) =2.305m³

Due to filling and wastage , the quantity is to be increased by 15%

Volume of the wet mortar =(2.305*1.15) = 2.64m³

When dry , this quantity to be increased by 33%

Hence , volume of dry mortar =(2.64*133) =3.51 m³

Volume of cement =3.51/7 =.50 Cum = 0.72 T

Volume of sand = 3.51*6/7 =3.0 Cum

Considering  70 % coarse sand & 30% medium sand

Coarse sand =2.1 Cum

Med. Sand = 0.9 cum
